كتاب الكرة والاسطوانة
لأرشميدس المصري.
أصلحه: ثابت بن قرة.
وسقط عنه بعض المصادرات، لقصور فهم ناقله إلى العربية، عن إدراكه وعجزه.
وشرح: أوطوقيوس العسقلاني. مشكلات هذا الكتاب.
الذي نقله: إسحاق بن حنين إلى العربية.
فحرره: نصير الدين على الترتيب.
فإنه في نسخة ثابت: ثمانية وأربعون شكلا. وفى نسخة إسحاق: ثلاث وأربعون. وألحق في آخرها: (مقالة أرشميدس) في: تكسير الدائرة. فإنها كانت مبنية على: بعض المصادر المذكورة.
