تبيين كذب المفتري فيما نسب إلى أبي الحسن الأشعري
للإمام، الحافظ، أبي القاسم: علي بن الحسن بن عساكر الدمشقي. المتوفى: سنة إحدى وسبعين وخمسمائة.قال ابن السبكي: وهو من أجل الكتب فائدة، فيقال: كل سني لا يكون عنده ذلك الكتاب، فليس من نفسه على بصيرة، ولا يكون الفقيه شافعيا على الحقيقة حتى يحصل له ذلك، وكان مشايخنا يأمرون الطلبة بالنظر فيه.
واختصره: الإمام: عبد الله بن أسعد اليافي، الشافعي.
